MRO Buyer

Immediate opening for an MRO/RM Buyer. This position will have responsibility to coordinate purchasing activities with the Master Scheduler to plan, buy, and schedule material requirements for the product line from the purchase of materials to the shipment of finished product. The Buyer will also responsible for supporting the Maintenance and Routine Operating supplies for daily operations.

Our ideal candidate will be aggressive in the pursuit of company goals: Continuous improvement in Dock-to-Stock, Preferred Supplier Program, Cost-Down Program; work with Purchasing Supervisor and Director to strategically qualify and disqualify suppliers to meet company’s procurement objectives; make recommendations to management about material plans to support existing and new business to include improved OTD; elimination of waste and excess expense, and improved inventory turns.

Candidates must have a minimum 5-year’s experience in a manufacturing environment, familiarity with automated MRP system, familiarity with Rod and Bar Stock raw materials, be able to work independently and as an effective team member. Candidate must have strong knowledge in Excel, and have experience with prints, RFQ processes and Supply Chain management concepts. We are looking for someone detail oriented and able to multitask projects. Knowledge of Oracle is a plus, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Salary will be negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. Interested parties must include salary history and requirements to be considered.
