Plater II

Immediate opening for a Plater II in our 2nd Shift. Our ideal Candidate will operate various plating production lines within assigned area under the direction of shift Supervisor and/or Plating Manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Produce parts to meet quality and production requirements.
  • Ensures that Manufacturing Process Specification’s (MPS) blueprint and all applicable documentation and/or specifications are met. Maintain quality and production requirements. Input process control data as required
  • Uses inspection equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers and x-ray machines to maintain specific blueprint requirements.
  • Works with, uses, and interprets blueprint requirements with limited assistance from Plating Supervisor and/or Plating Manager. Works with and uses Manufacturing Shop Orders (MSO) and appropriate inspection equipment. Ensures that paperwork and computer data entry corresponds with parts in process and that tractability data is correct and maintained
  • Assists in training of assigned plating trainees.
  • Must be able to understand the basics on how to be in compliance with all safety and environmental government rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to calculate and use the proper methods to plate by using Engineering calculations based on surface areas and thickness requirements.
  • Maintains clean, well organized work area while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with the company safety/environmental regulations.
  • Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals, be flexible with working schedules and be a team player.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills and the ability to follow written procedures
Our candidate will be trained in waste management and environmental requirements associated with required duties. A minimum of four years experience in metal finishing precious metals industry is a requirement. A high school diploma/GED with some work experience may be considered as equivalent.

Salary will be dependent on experience and ability. Interested parties must include salary history and requirements to be considered.
