Automated Contact Crimping

We do automated crimping for closed barrel contacts, plus we are also authorized and tooled for major manufacturers in the industry. To maintain our leadership position, we are constantly updating so that we will always have the latest methods and technology for wire and cable processing. This investment gives us an edge for high-volume production of custom cable assemblies.

Wire Marking System with Plasma

One example of our investment is our own fully automatic, computer-controlled wire & cable marking system. This system was designed and built by Tri-Star Technologies and is based on TST M-100 technology, which accommodates most insulation materials. It uses UV-curable inks, available in various colors. Markings meet all requirements of MIL-W-5088L & MIL-W-81531.

Automated Shrink Tube Marking

Our automated, shrink tube marking capability is highlighted by our Sumitomo Sumimark System. This system prints on a wide variety of tubing including dual wall & high temperature PVDF. Markings meet MIL-M-81531 / MIL-M-85848 / MIL-STD-202F method 215G.

Cable Production from 8 - 28 AWG

Tri-Star employs high-quality Schlenuniger stripping and wire and cable prepping equipment. This automated and semi-automated equipment is designed to prep all types of cables including coaxial, triaxial and semi-rigid cables. Delivering first-class products requires that we use only world-class equipment and processes/systems. Our investment in those areas ensures repeatability and accuracy, which helps us deliver consistently high quality products. It's a simple, but essential concept.

Computer Electrical Testing (With Test Data Printout)

Our Cirris cable testing equipment has over 3,072 point-to-point testing capabilities and test data printouts. The latest addition to our Cirris testers is the Signature Touch 1, which enables us to conduct high-pot tests of up to 512 points simultaneously at 50 ­ 1000 VDC.
